Hi,
I wonder which target platform is used to run RSS. According to the https://tf-m-user-guide.trustedfirmware.org/platform/arm/rss/readme.html it's a Total Compute platform. But there are two FVPs i.e. TC1 and TC2, both available on https://developer.arm.com/downloads/-/arm-ecosystem-fvps. They are equipped only with SCP.
I suppose that this is TC2, which is currently not publicly available ("HW Root of Trust based on the TF-M RSS subsystem." a cite from https://arm-reference-solutions-docs.readthedocs.io/en/tc2-2022.12.07/docs/t...)
Is the TC2 the only target that is currently used for RSS development?
Kind regards, Peter
Hi Peter,
Yes, TC2 FVP is the only platform with RSS.
The FVP will be publicly available around early part of 2H'23. See https://arm-reference-solutions-docs.readthedocs.io/en/tc2-2022.12.07/docs/t... for getting access earlier.
Regards, Shebu

Hi,
Thanks for the info.
I have one more question. As the RSS implements HES in ARM CCA architecture, does the TC2 FVP support armv9a Realm Management Extensions?
Kind regards, Peter
Hi Peter,
TC2 FVP doesn't support v9-A Realm Management Extension. RSS on TC2 FVP is used as the hardware based RoT for secure boot of the platform. On platforms where Arm CCA architecture is supported, RSS will provide CCA HES functionality which will include secure boot, measured boot, attestation, secure debug, lifecycle management etc.

Hi Shebu,
As far as I understand, the current TF-M RSS implementation (also the hardware: armv8-m, LCM, KMU, CryptoCell-3XX, etc.) is going to be a reference implementation of HES for all systems that support ARM CCA?
We're interested in FVPs or development boards that are equipped with both an armv9-a core implementing RME and HES. Do you know if there exists any FVP that could be used for running the whole ARM CCA stack (TF-A, TF-RMM, TF-M RSS)? If there is no such the platform, when is it going to be released?
Kind regards, Peter

Yes, TF-M RSS implementation provides a reference implementation of Arm CCA HES.

There will be FVP by end of this quarter or early next quarter (CQ2'23). The initial Arm CCA Software on this FVP enabling TF-RMM and TF-M RSS will be available roughly towards end of next quarter and further features in the subsequent quarters.
