If time permits, I would also touch on the idea of using "global" #ifdef in *.c files to control the entire file inclusion/exclusion to/from a compilation. This is a workaround for build systems without conditional source control, where all files shall be included in the build. Personally, I see it as incorrect way to go but looking for community opinion.

The original solution which hardcodes the client ID encoding is discarded as it is too heavy and limits platform-specific client ID encoding. In the new solution a client ID translation hal is reserved for platforms which allows the flexibility of client ID translation. This solution is lightweight and has been discussed offline. I would like to introduce the new unified logging API we have in TF-M that has now been merged into the upstream TF-M. I will briefly outline the API, how it should be used and the ways that platforms can control the logging output
