OK thanks. The existing syslog plugin also doesn't seem ideal for this situation as you'd need to specifically invoke that (and I recall reading other issues about it not working from all contexts).

I'll continue with my original plan to add my own logging functionality for our platform (logging to the coreboot console since we already have access to that data in the REE). Thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately, no. The tee-supplicant plugin mechanism was introduced with that use case in mind (see https://github.com/OP-TEE/optee_client/issues/219) but no logging-specific code was further upstreamed.
