In that case, we can bring in right people to get this over the line.

To be clear I do not intend to work on this item except for doing the maintainer tasks of course (code reviewing and merging). I suggest you try what Volodymyr (@lorc) has proposed and discuss technical issues in the PR. In case he has no time to spend on this you could as well open a new PR.
