Hi Glen/Don,
A comment on this.
as SLACK limits access to only ARM and Linaro; others cannot subscribe. Discord is more open. Don has set this up, but there has been no official decision
to migrate off SLACK.
FYI you can invite people outside Arm/Linaro. I’ve invited people from NVIDIA, ST and AMD/Xilinx.
Maybe people cannot subscribe themselves and needs an invite from an existing member?
No problem migrating to Discord myself. As long as its manage and I don’t have to track multiple systems in my day to day work…
😊 At one point I had IRC, Skype, Teams, Yammer, Slack …. Now more or less down to Slack.
I’ve managed to put Discord into quiet mode to avoid all the animated emoticons. I just need to find the option to make them smaller. My impression of Discord is its like communicating in a cartoon script! Maybe its an age thing …. I remember learning to write
with a fountain pen at school…. And a slide rule for maths….
