Subject: [EXTERNAL] [TF-M] Re: Recommended GNU compiler version
Hi Summer,
The v1.8 release notes say “GNU Arm compiler version
greater and equal than *11.3.Rel1* has a linker issue in syscall.” But the latest notes for v1.8.1 seem to indicate that any newer compiler version is okay. Was there some TFM code update to workaround the linker issue?
Regards,
Brian

Hi Brian,
11.2-2022.02 is supported. We suggest using GNU Arm compiler v7.3.1+,
except for those we listed in the note, please see details in the
getting started guides.
Best Wishes,
Summer

Is 11.2-2022.02 the recommended compiler version?
I saw TF-M v1.8 states:
“ GNU Arm compiler version *10-2020-q4-major* has an issue in CMSE
support. The bug is reported in `here <https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=99157>`__.
Select other GNU Arm compiler versions instead.
