RME is an Armv9-A extension and is one component of the Arm Confidential Compute Architecture (Arm CCA). The major changes with this extension include:

Two additional Security states, Root and Realm
Two additional physical address spaces, Root and Realm
The ability to dynamically transition memory granules between physical addresses spaces
Granule Protection Check mechanism
